Binge Read: Planning the 1,000 Superman comics project

August 2015 is when I'll attempt to read 1,000 Superman comics in a single month.  I will then rank my top 100 Superman comics, write about the best/worst, and give the comics away.  The main challenge will be taking a week off from work to grind through the bulk of it, so I don't literally read just over 33 comics a night and completely ignore my wife. To prepare for this of course I must define what I consider a "Superman" comic and confirm I  have access to 1,000 of them.  My definition is that it must be a comic starring Superman but does not necessarily have "Superman" in the title.  So it can be any Action Comics, Superman: The Man of Steel, Justice League, JLA, etc..., all under the stipulation that Superman is in the book.  The only books I may allow where Superman as we know him is not actually in them is when he was "dead" and Cyborg Superman, Superboy, Steel, all those guys, briefly took over his titles  (I know I have some in my collection).  I also will not attempt to read these in any chronological order.  Partly out of laziness, but the other part will be my trying to break up incredibly boring swings the title goes through.  So I'll be zig-zagging nightly through many different eras trying to keep my interest level up to power through the project. Also my goal is to not read a comic I have read previously.  But I do intend to read any comic I can flip through and not remember what happens.  If I get three pages in and all of the sudden the entire book comes back to me, I will put it down and not count it among the 1,000.  Shouldn't be a big deal because #1) I have a terrible memory and #2) I recently acquired hundreds of Superman comics I have not read.
